PLOT: Maritza’s Maiz is a magical realist thriller that takes the audience through the journey of a young girl named Maritza who believes that she is the fallen princess of Maíz from the heavens of Aztlan. Maritza’s mother has just passed away and she is living with her aunt who doesn’t understand her true identity or her connection to the spiritual world, therefore she has Maritza diagnosed with Psychosis.
